Singapore, 26 October 2020Asia Pacific Rayon is part of the RGE group of companies that announced in October 2019, a decade-long USD 200 million investment into next-generation textile fibre innovation and technology. The report presents a new time-related target that Asia Pacific Rayon will source 20% of its feedstock from alternative or recycled materials by 2030 and meeting EU-BAT emissions limited by 2023. The progress report also highlights the completion of new and fully automated viscose pilot plant in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau. The plant closely simulates the entire viscose manufacturing production on a much smaller scale, enabling more efficient testing of new products and production techniques for APRIL and APR.
