JAKARTA, October 23, 2024 — In a step towards promoting the transformation of the sustainable fashion industry, Asia Pacific Rayon (APR), Duniatex, and EMBA Group collaborated in a fashion show at Jakarta Fashion Week 2025, held in Jakarta. . This collaboration produced 48 collections under the theme “Fashion Evolution,” showcasing innovation and creativity in the use of sustainable materials.
In this collaboration, APR supplies renewable and biodegradable viscose-rayon fibers, which Duniatex processes into high-quality fabrics. EMBA Group then utilizes these fabrics to create collections that are both stylish and eco-friendly. Partnering with Danjyo Hiiyoji for menswear and Mr Tities Saputra for womenswear, EMBA launched collections representing four of its brands: Ladies, Denim, Morphidae, and Classic.
“This year, we are engaging garment manufacturers, , brands, and retailers to demonstrate collaboration along the value chain in order to support the textile industry in Indonesia and to raise public awareness about the importance of sustainable fashion,” said Mr Basrie Kamba, President Director of APR.
Danjyo Hiiyoji designed the menswear collection around two main themes: Wild Ones and Voyage. The Wild Ones collection, part of EMBA Denim, features bold and experimental denim piecesmade with sustainable viscose-rayon. Meanwhile, the Voyage collection showcasesclassic styles that blend green, navy blue, and beige, radiating the charm of beaches and deserts with elegant viscose-rayon applications.
For womenswear, Mr Tities Saputra introduces the themes of Freedom and Calma. The Freedom collection, part of EMBA Ladies, presents a chic denim style using viscose-rayon as an eco-friendly material, while the Clama-themed Morphidae collection highlights elements that promoteawareness ofmaterials supporting environmental sustainability.
“With the Fashion Evolution collection, we are able to showcase various styles of clothing, from casual to elegant, while utilizing a diverse yet sustainable selection of materials,” stated a representative from EMBA Group.
Several Indonesia’s notable figures became muses for this fashion show, including Chicco Jerikho, Surya Saputra, Gabriel Prince, Samo Rafael, Gamaliel, Paula verhoven, Raihaanun, Whulandary Herman, and Aniza caca.
Since 2019, APR has been committed to collaborating with designers, fashion enthusiasts, and textile industry players to support sustainable fashion in Indonesia. This year marks APR’s third participation inJFW, the largest fashion exhibition in Southeast Asia, but for the first time, it has partnered with garmentmanufacturers, and Duniatex has collaborated with local brands.This collaboration within the textile ecosystem aims to to further advance the movement for sustainable fashion in Indonesia.
