The year 2022 was another successful one for Asia Pacific Rayon. So, as a way of acknowledging and celebrating the fantastic team effort, management and employees at Pangkalan Kerinci’s headquarters had a virtual party. With a focus on continuous improvement via teamwork, the organisation has adopted “Growing FOURever” as its slogan for the year ahead, recognising APR’s four year history.
Despite the global upheaval over the last several years, APR has kept up its rapid development while improving its sustainability.
“Expansion is essential to the success of our business; together, we have already accomplished much this year, and we have a long way to go.” “So, congratulations to everybody, and may we continue to improve in the years to come,” said Saleel Rajaram Nayak, APR’s Director of Operations.
APR committed to making more efforts towards sustainability in the years ahead with the release of APR2030, our 10-year sustainability commitment, which was launched a year ago. This is based on four pillars: positive impact for climate and nature, clean manufacturing, circularity, and inclusive prosperity. “I hope we can keep up the excellent job in the future; let’s expand our goodwill and help the communities around us thrive,” Mr. Nayak added.
We also strengthened our efforts in circularity by partnering with Matahari on recycled textiles to support one of our APR2030 commitments. The initiative has grabbed the interest of Indonesian shoppers, since Matahari is one of the country’s top retailers. APR also took part in fashion events such as the Muslim Fashion Festival, Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week, Jakarta Fashion Week 2023, and Soerabaia Fashion Trends to spread the word about sustainable fashion. APY received the Primanyarta Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce this year, which recognises Indonesian companies who have achieved remarkable export success.
The award, given in the category of Sustainable Products, acknowledged APY’s success as a manufacturer of 100% viscose yarn that is exported to a number of international markets.
