Asia Pacific Rayon Commits to the Implementation of Safe Chemical Management Practices
Pangkalan Kerinci – 1 October 2019, Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) has joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation as new member.
The ZDHC Foundation is a collaboration of major fashion brands, value chain affiliates and associations which seek to drive the global implementation of safer chemical management practices in the textile, leather and footwear industries.
“Becoming a member of ZDHC is an affirmation of our commitment to pursuing the highest standards of safe chemical management in our operations. This is part of our wider efforts to make the textile industry a sustainable and responsible sector for today and for future generations,” said Cherie Tan, Vice President, Sustainability & Communications, Asia Pacific Rayon.
The Foundation provides a learning platform collaborating with industry peers that have made similar commitments towards sustainable chemistry, innovations and best chemical management practices.
